Dilly Dallier

Jasra was a powerful magician who had studied magic for many years. One day, while searching for a powerful potion that would help in his quest for knowledge, he stumbled upon a strange vial. Without reading the label, Jasra took a sip from the potion and passed out on the spot. Years went by, and Jasra had been long forgotten about. In time, he was buried under a small mound of dirt outside near his chamber. But fate had other plans for Jasra, and he eventually awoke from his deep slumber with a spider crawling in his ear. The spider had taken up residence in Jasra's ear when he was unconscious, and had lived there for years. Jasra was initially shocked and repulsed, but seeing his magical powers had not waned, he embraced the spider as a companion, calling it Arach, who had cared for him during his long slumber. As Jasra stood up he felt weak and confused. He had been asleep for years, and much had changed since he had last been awake including the strength of his body. When he gathered enough energy he roamed the roads of the nearest settlement, searching for answers and trying to make sense of what had happened. Jasra cast a charm on Arach allowing them to communicate, and discovered that he had been asleep for over a decade, and that many members of his family and herd had moved on without him. At first, Jasra was sad because of the time and friends he had lost, but he also felt renewed as he had met a new friend Arach. From that day forth, he vowed to never let himself be taken in by harmful potions again and Jasra and Arach were inseparable.
