Galakor's Vow to the King

Galakor had been consumed by the desire for revenge ever since he witnessed the murder of his parents at the hands of King Ruthless. He had been just a young stag at the time, but the memory of his mother's lifeless eyes haunted him every day. From that day on, he swore to get his revenge at any cost. Galakor trained tirelessly to become a great conjurer, learning the ways of magic and mastering his skills. He knew that the only way to get close to King Ruthless and fulfill his vow was to become a part of the elite group of conjurers who was close to the King and protected him at all times. Finally, his hard work paid off, and he was recruited to join their ranks. As the conjurers stood in a line to present themselves before the king, Galakor held his screams in as King Ruthless came close to him, congratulating the stags on the great honor of serving him. But Galakor could barely hear the King’s words as he focused intently on the face of his parents’ murderer. Soon… he vowed to himself, a small smile curling in his lips.
